CCI is a non-profit organization providing residential supports to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). CCI operates 3 homes serving children as young as 8 years old until their 18th birthday. Two of these homes are located in Southeast Portland while one is in Northeast Portland. Adults are served in 4 Southeast Portland homes as well as 2 homes in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge.

CCI serves children and adults with a variety of diagnoses such as Autism, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Prader Willi Syndrome, PICA, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), seizure disorders, etc.

Direct Support Professionals (DSP) assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) which include personal hygiene, dressing, continence management; as well as, transportation, shopping, meal preparation, household management, medication management, managing finances, etc. DSPs support residents in increasing independence, becoming fully integrated into one’s community and maintaining health and safety.

CCI provides Professional Behavior Services to address challenging behaviors utilizing the least restrictive interventions. This involves completion of a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and development of a Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP).
